Congratulations to Emily Ferrara on winning the Bordighera Poetry Prize 2006! Congratulations to Emily Ferrara, a long-time member of PoemWorks, for winning the 2006 Bordighera Poetry Prize for her book The Alchemy of Grief (Alchimia del Dolore). Emily will launch her book at the Bordighera Poetry Prize Awards Ceremony in November at the CUNY Graduate Center. How Did YOU Began Writing with PoemWorks? Some years back, I was posting workshop flyers in West Roxbury on a very windy day. Some flyers got away from me and one blew against the legs of Rick Brown who happened to be walking along Center Street. He immediately joined the workshop. Which makes me ask . . . how did YOU come to write poetry with PoemWorks? PoemWorks is embarking on a new project to collect the stories of how people first came to the workshop.
