Susan Nisenbaum Becker
Susan Nisenbaum Becker is an actor and playwright affiliated with Omega Theater/Theater Workshop Boston in Jamaica Plain. Her poetry has appeared in Summer Home Review, Plainsongs, Phoebe, Salamander, Comstock Review, Poetry East, Wilderness House Literary Review, Lumina, Consequence, and Avatar, among others. Her work was nominated for a 2012 Pushcart Prize. She has read for the Talk Information Center’s radio program, Egad! It’s Poetry, at WTIC in Marshfield, Mass. Susan has been awarded several Local Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants for her community arts organization, Herring Run ArtsFest, as well as fellowships at the Banff Center for the Arts in Canada, Yaddo, where she held the Martha Walsh Pulver Residency, and the MacDowell Colony. She recently completed her first book of poems, Little Architects of Time and Space.
