Richard Waring

Richard Waring normally hosts this reading series. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including Sanctuary, Mothering, Contact II, JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Association), Chest, The American Journal of Nursing, and Gargoyle. He has studied with Allen Ginsberg, Susan Donnelly, Harold Bond, and others, but none compare to Barbara Helfgott Hyett. In fact, you may not know this but she raised him from a couplet! A chapbook, Listening to Stones, was published by Pudding House Publications in 1999. His full-length book, What Love Tells Me, is seeking publication. He lives in Belmont with his son and daughter and is a layout artist for New England Journal of Medicine.
