Workshops and Participants

Since 1982 poets have been gathering at the home of poet Barbara Helfgott Hyett to critique one another's new work and to study contemporary poetry. Each weekly session provides intensive critical analysis in a supportive atmosphere as poets work towards finely-honed, completed poems.

The Workshop For Publishing Poets also functions as a publishing network for its members who have published hundreds of poems, produced and published more than seventy (70+) books, and won various awards and fellowships. The workshop also conducts regular public readings which showcase its members.
