Poet in the Schools

As a poet in the schools, Barbara has introduced students to the art and craft of reading and writing poetry.

She has worked as a Visiting Poet in over 100 public and private schools in Massachusetts including the Andover, Beverly, Boston, Brookline, Duxbury, Hingham, Newton, and Sharon public school districts; and private schools, including Milton and Tabor academies.

Currently, Barbara is Writer in Residence at the Catholic Memorial School in West Roxbury, Mass.

Her programs with students, teachers and families include reading and writing workshops in Childhood Memory, Parenting, and Watchfulness, as well as Teacher Training.
